ABOUT DON BALDWIN
Don grew up in the shadow of Yosemite National Park in California’s central valley. A third-generation Methodist minister, he has been intimately engaged in religion and the arts throughout his career, sensing the universal inter-connection of all life and creation. Becoming the Resident Minister in Yosemite solidified his awareness of the inherent spiritual gifts of nature, and the need for persons to experience the beauty of nature and this inter-connectedness for their well-being.
After serving in Yosemite and the Campus Ministry at the University of Kansas, Don and his family moved to Lake Tahoe, where he began to create powerful multi-image slide shows designed to elevate the spirits and hearts of his audiences. His gift of blending multiple color-slide images, poetry, and music, with a deep reverence for life, has inspired thousands of all ages in schools, churches, civic organizations, prisons, and on college campuses.
Now retired from his 13-year pastoral ministry in Aptos, California, he is able to travel and share his gifts and message with broader audiences. Don and his wife, Peggy, now live in Nevada City, and he continues to be active in producing audio-visual presentations dedicated to fostering peace and human unity. His love of jazz finds expression in big-band trumpet playing. They have two grown daughters, Eve and Joy, and a grey male cat, “Clarence.”
